BSC Cars : The Backstreet CruiZers car club in Milan, Michigan brings together people who share a love of cars and trucks, making new friends, and spirit of community. We embrace all makes and years. We hold a weekly cruise during the season, and our annual Carfest every August. Donations received from these events go back to further fund our events and to community organizations such as Aid in Milan, The American Cancer Society, Milan Parks and Recreation, Ronald McDonald House, Make A Wish, American Diabetes Association, families dealing with a personal tragedy and the Milan Police Reserves. As part of our commitment to community involvement, we are members of the Milan Area Chamber of Commerce. Supporting the heritage of the American automobile, we are members of the Motorcities ANHA, (Automobile National Heritage Area Rouge Corridor), an affiliated unit of the National Park Service. Milan is a “Henry Ford” Village Industry/Dam Complex. Come cruise with us on a Thursday night From May-August Our Annual Carfest is the First Saturday of August Both activites take place in Milan's beautiful Wilson Memorial Park. Veterans: Cost of Freedom CruiZe : October 8th 2011 The Backstreet CruiZers held a SunRise to Sunset Cruize rightly named "The Cost of Freedom CruiZe" honoring our Veterans. We started at Toledo Beach Marina Lake Erie for a Sunrise Ceremony and ended at the City of St. Joseph Lake Michigan for the Sunset service. We met a lot of great folks along the way, made some special friends, and had a BALL. The Proceeds of this event go the National VFW Home for Children located in Eaton Rapids Michigan. The Backstreet CruiZers partnered with the VFW Post 6362 in Dundee. Instrumental in that relationship was Jim Baisden former Commandeer of the post. A Vietnam Veteran. The pictures that follow were taken by Tom Dupis,a Veteran of Vietnam. We hope that you enjoy viewing the pictures as the days events unfold. And if at anytime you happen across a Veteran of our Great and Glorious Country YOU say THANK YOU to that veteran for his service to our COUNTRY that enabled us to take this journey. Diabetes Ass. : The Backstreet CruiZers Cruisin’ For A Reason In reconigition of our 10 year anniversary, the Backstreet CruiZers, made the decision to embrace the American Diabetes Association as a Primary fundraising project. Since Diabetes has an impact on so many of our friends, neighbors and guests we've committed ourselves to carry this mantra through our 11th year. Our Goal will be to promote awareness and to assist in funding the Association for a cure by donations. Many of our friends and family are afflicted with this disease and we feel that we can make a difference while having a good time enjoying what we love.. It may surprise you that diabetes affects one out of every thirteen Americans. The American Diabetes Association's programs support our family, friends and neighbors living with the disease, which is often a struggle. And with devastating complications such as blindness, amputation, heart disease and kidney failure, diabetes is serious -- even deadly. Even more frightening, diabetes can strike anyone at anytime. In fact, someone is diagnosed every 19 seconds.. WE are proud to be changing the future of diabetes and thank you again for joining us!

Dream Cruise 2010 : To Our Friends at ITC Here are a couple of shots I took at the Dream Cruise yesterday. Although it was raining slightly most of the day, it did not deter the crowds and cars...and whatever else was brought! What a great time we had. The company was second to none, the food fantastic, the atmosphere thrilling. I want to thank you for passing on the invitation. I will remember it for years to come. Bruce

BSC Host Old US23 Poker Run Cruise July 24 2010 : To Celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the signing of the Milan Village Charter, The Backstreet CruiZers planned the US23 Cruise. The Ladies of the Marble Memorial Methodist Church provided a Boxed Chicken Lunch bringing back a 1940's tradition of feeding hungry travelers from OHIO to the U of M Stadium in Ann Arbor.
